From a recent Facebook post of mine:

It's National Pediatrician Day. I can't think of anything I would rather be doing with my life than taking care of babies, children, and adolescents and their physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being. Daily office visits, weekend text messages, 3 am emergencies at the hospital... pediatricians like me do it all.

I am a pediatrician. That title is important to me and to my colleagues. My training and my heart and soul go into everything that title means. It's not a job it's my whole life. I'm blessed with supportive family and friends that got me to this place and I am blessed with all the families and children who appreciate me and need me every day.
